Your Personal
Calorie Calculator
Find an estimated daily calorie starting range to support body recomposition: reducing body fat while holding onto and strengthening muscle.
Your resting energy needs are estimated using the Mifflin–St Jeor equation.
We then consider your normal daily movement, working environment and structured exercise to estimate a realistic activity range.
More emphasis is placed on your habitual daily movement than on individual workouts. This helps avoid overestimating how active you are across the full week.
It's about changing what your body is made of.
Body recomposition means reducing body fat while holding onto, and ideally strengthening or building, muscle.
Unlike traditional weight loss, the aim isn't simply to make the number on the scales as low as possible. Your body weight may change slowly, or sometimes very little, while your body composition, measurements, strength and how your clothes fit improve.
This is why adequate protein and progressive strength training are an important part of the picture alongside your calorie intake.
Your numbers are only the starting point.
If you'd like help understanding the right calorie, protein and nutrition targets for your individual goal, and how to make them work around your training, family, work and real life, get in touch to discuss a plan that's suited to you.
